As we approach Christmas the temptation to do what we’ve always done can be very tempting. However if we fall into that trap, the result is to get what we’ve always got and that, for many of us, is not the desired outcome.
In order to serve others, spend time with others, support others and give to others, we must first be able to serve, support, spend time with and give to ourselves. We must be willing to share our overflow not our necessities. This is called self-support, self-care and self-love.
Finding the balance is the key ingredient to experiencing a fulfilled existence, not just for Christmas but for life in general. How can we achieve this? I thought you’d never ask.
- Know Self!Know all there is to know about what makes you tick, what brings you joy, what gives you peace, what brings you alive, what makes you want to get up in the morning. As you discover self, share your findings with as many people as possible. Stay blessed and be a blessing.
- Know What Life Means To You! Know and understand what is important in your life. Know what you value in life and what gives you value. Know and appreciate the relationships you have. As you discover self, share your findings with as many people as possible. Stay blessed and be a blessing.
- Know Why You’re Here! Know that you have an essential role to play in the unveiling of your story. Know that you are valuable and valued. Know that every step you take and every move you make brings you closer to finding your purpose. As you discover self, share your findings with as many people as possible. As you continue on life’s journey always make time for those less fortunate than yourself, adopt an attitude of gratitude, exercise grace wherever and whenever you can.
