In today’s fast-paced society there are many who feel that they do not have the time or inclination to accommodate a healthy lifestyle, and yet more and more of us can share the story of a loved one who’s gone to meet their maker prematurely. Sleep
Getting adequate sleep is very important to a healthy lifestyle. During sleep, our bodies have the opportunity to carry out maintenance on the wear and tear of the previous day. However, in order for this to be effective, the quality of sleep plays a large part. Noise and light for most must be reduced to a minimum for best results.
Exercise
Many doctors and health professionals highlight the importance of regular exercise. Working out at least three times a week seems to be a good formula because it allows your body to recover from the previous day's exercise and does not much allow too time in between workouts. Workouts can easily be found on the internet and adapted to suit your need. It helps to have fun whilst working up a sweat.
Nutrition
It has been said you are what you eat. Striving for a balanced diet, with the right amount of fruit and vegetables, goes a long way in providing the body with sufficient amounts of nutrients that it needs to stay fit and healthy for each new day. Add to this balanced amount of carbs and fibre and your well on your way. And don’t forget your water intake at least 8 to 10 glasses a day, improves hydration and energy.
Mindset
In a society where there can be so much negativity due to fear, scarcity, violence and lack, it’s not surprising that we all have a need to cultivate a positive mindset which will lead to positive emotions. A positive mind leads to a positive body. Staying positive and making time for yourself on a daily basis promotes a healthier happier you.
