Improving The Quality Of Your Life
If you
want to improve the quality of your life, I would suggest using good habits.
You have to eliminate bad habits and form good habits, in doing so you have a
greater chance of lasting success. Developing good habits increases your
chances of sustainable happiness, health, wealth, vitality and work life
balance.
Here are
a few tips to get you started:
Sleep I would argue
that it’s not about the quantity but the quality of sleep that serves you best.
Create an environment in your bedroom which is conducive to sleep. When you’re
able to have uninterrupted sleep your mind and body are able to carry out vital
maintenance work in the restoration, recharging and re-energising department. Multiple
studies have suggested that not only doe sleep help to improve things like
memory, but it also helps to boost the longevity of life, increase awareness,
and activate creativity.
Daily Gratitude Make time every
day to create a list of all the things that you are grateful for. Understand
that we all have challenges however when we change the way we look at things,
the things we look at change. You might have a financial dilemma but be
grateful that you have the where with all to handle with it.
Emotional Health Simply put
having the ability to bounce back from setbacks and thrive despite having
problems. Emotional health involves defining and creating your own life worth
living, setting boundaries and putting in place checks and stops that prevent
you from going over the edge.
Self-Discipline One of the most
important skills you need to master in order to achieve your goals in life.
Contrary to common belief, self-discipline does not mean being harsh toward
yourself or living a limited, restrictive lifestyle. Self-discipline
means self-control, which is a sign of inner strength and
control of yourself, your actions, reactions and responses.
Mindfulness and
Meditation Taking
time out on a daily basis to sit quietly and be present, not thinking about the
past or the future, just being present in the moment. Sit silently with your
eyes closed and listen to the sounds around you. Feel the air moving in and out
of your lungs, the warmth of the sun on your shoulders, the coolness of the
breeze moving across the room, and so on. Just be present. That’s all it takes.
