New
technologies like Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Artificial intelligence, The
internet, Open banking API’s (Application Automation Interface) will be
changing the banking ecosystem and disrupting the way people bank and interact
with financial institutions and services forever. It’s fair to say that the cat
has been let out of the bag.
With the potential to increase Efficiency, Transparency, Traceability, Speed, Security, Decrease costs, and Enhanced customer experience. These digital-enabled technologies will result in disruption of the way people do their banking and potentially how organisations deliver these services. We are already seeing organisations testing many of these digital technologies, hoping to win the battle to become the‘bank of the future.’
Now
you might be thinking that all the above sounds great but how can we benefit
from all these advances in technology when the last 12 months have seen our
savings decimated, pay rise evaporate, job security implode, ability to pay our
mortgage/rent squeezed, and access to financial support disappear month by
month with many falling foul of the governments' requirements to qualify for
their financial aid packages.
On
the other hand, you may or may not have observed a section of society thriving
in spite of all the challenges that you may be facing and wondered what it is
that they are doing or have access to that you don’t. History has shown that
whenever there has been a financial crisis, you’ll always have winners and
losers. Some might go as far as to say that the rich get richer and the poor get
poorer.
What
if there was a way to not only help you but also
help your family and friends. What if you were able to access what those in the
know have access to. What if it were possible for you to influence how much you
earned each month. What if you were introduced to a way that enabled you to
get some of life’s comforts. What if
there was a way that you could improve your financial education and those you
care about. Would you be bold enough to commit to blocking out some time in
your diary to make the change?
