A Seed
Will Meet Your Need
(If you’re ready to receive)
Every action
you take is a seed you sow. Every seed you sow is a harvest you’ll reap. You’ll
never change your life until you change your choices.
I’m reminded
of the parable in the bible about the sower and the seed. The sower scatters
his seed which falls on four different types of ground. The hard ground
which prevents the seed from sprouting at all and becomes nothing more than
bird food. The stony ground provides just enough soil for the seed to
germinate and begin to grow, but due to not having much depth in the soil the
plants are unable to take root and soon wither in the sun.
The
thorny ground allows
the seed to grow, but the competing thorns choke the life out of the plant and
it too withers away. The good ground receives the seed and produces much
fruit. Interpreting the seed and the soil in society today one could look at it
this way. The hard ground represents someone who is open to the
opportunities of life but sadly easily influenced and therefore any gain is
short lived. The stony ground represents someone who gives
a good impression that they get the opportunity, they're excited by their conversation
however fall short by their actions.
The
thorny ground
represents those who demonstrate a good understanding and receive the
opportunity however they allow the temptations of this world to prevent them
from fulfilling their potential. The good ground represents those who
not only understand but demonstrate understanding through their words, actions
and deeds producing a 30%, 60% and even 100% return from their harvest.
