Use It or
Lose It
We are all
born with unique gifts, talents and abilities unique to us. All too often
because of the conditioning we go through, we fall into the trap of use it or
lose it. It
wasn’t designed to come out all at once. We don’t become everything we were
created to be overnight. These gifts were put in us on a time-release; they are
destined to open up at certain points throughout our life.
There
will come a time when you will instinctively know that it’s your season to
grow, to embrace the new opportunities being presented to you and utilise the
gifts and talents that you didn’t know you had. Always remember you were not
created to reach one level and get stuck. You might have fulfilled your career,
family or business dreams however this is not your final destination.
All too often the gifts and talents
you were born with remain dormant. Why? Because the time required to develop
them is being misused and abused by everyday events of busy-ness and the lack
of discipline required to study and grow. On the other hand, you have those who
have convinced themselves that they are comfortable where they’re at. That
there is no need to step up or step out of the comfort zone that what they’re
doing is good enough.
News flash!! If good enough, is good enough for you, then
it’s unlikely that you’ll ever achieve your greatness. When you wrestle with
the idea of stepping into your greatness it’s a good indicator that your time
release gift is trying to come out. Don’t miss your opportunity, you have but
one life. Don’t allow another year to catch you procrastinating. You don’t have time to waste being
unfocused, intimidated, letting opportunities pass you by. Carpe diem (seize
the day.)
If you choose to abstain from capitalising on your gift, if
you’re not taking time to develop your gift and maximise your potential, then
it can be taken away. But when you use it well, remain focused, responsible and
passionate, taking the time to study and grow your gift the doors of
opportunity swing wide open and allow you to reap a bountiful harvest.
