Truly Humbled, Blessed and Grateful
I would like to thank all my family and friends who
made this event so special to me. Truly a significant moment in time to be remembered
29.11.2019.
As the saying goes “You don’t have to be great to
start, but you have to start to be great.” Zig Ziglar
As I take
the opportunity to reflect on my journey, the highs the lows and everything in
between, I’m mindful that all too often we don’t get to see or know the true
story behind someone’s rise to fame or merely achieving that little something
extra. What I can share with you is that
on your quest to reaching your goals anything can happen and it usually does. However,
it requires resilience, determination and courage. Under no circumstances
entertain the thought of quitting. It’s Not An Option.
Remind
yourself why you started your journey, make time to see yourself experiencing
the end result, bask in the moment and repeat as often as necessary. Surround
yourself with like-minded people who share your passion and don’t be afraid to
ask for help. “You get out of life what you have the courage to ask for.” Oprah
Winfrey
Summarising
what I believe to be one of our major stumbling blocks I’ll refer to a great
quote by Marianne Williamson
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most
frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented,
fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing
small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so
that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to
make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us;
it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.”
