With all
that is currently going on around us I felt compelled to write this post to put
a little balance into things. Last weeks post covered the topic “Wait To
Worry” this week I would like to build on that and introduce a bit of a
faith element and elaborate on why I believe that we’re all “Too Blessed To Be
Stressed and Too Anointed To Be Disappointed.”
Following
and listening to the news on a daily basis is enough to make anyone worry and
get stressed out. We’re being bombarded with a variety of information followed
by disagreement and counter arguments. Suffice to say we’re all aware of the
problem and I believe what will make a huge difference is how we now go about
our daily lives.
Is there a
way to look at current events and situations a little differently from the mass
hysteria? I believe so and how can this be achieved? By redirecting our focus
on what’s within our grasp and following through with 100% commitment, as
opposed to maintaining our focus on all the negativity around us we can take
some practical steps forward by initiating some of the more positive
recommendations being provided.
A simple technique
that can help you appreciate your blessings and reverse the stress thoughts
that come into your mind is to start thinking about stress reducing statements
that bring your blessings to the forefront. For example, if you’re blessed
not to have contracted the virus and you empower yourself by having an attitude
of gratitude and affirm that you are ready, willing and able to do all that’s
in your power to do to prevent falling victim to the virus, you’re already well
ahead of the masses.
A useful affirmation:
I’m too blessed to be stressed, too anointed to
be disappointed and too grateful to be hateful. When life gets me down, I’ve
got to get up. I have to love a little deeper, laugh a little louder, smile a
little bigger, give a little more and forgive a little quicker. Hold the ones I
love a little lighter because tomorrow is never promised.
Always remembering:
