Have you ever wondered why amidst what
has been deemed a global pandemic there is so much confusion?
Now I suppose another question you
might ask yourself is are you being lied to? And if so why? Let’s look at some
of the evidence. Is there currently confusion around what you should and should
not do? Is there any confusion around what you can and cannot do? When you
examine the information being presented by those who are supposed to have our
best interest at heart has it been consistent? Is there a general agreed
consensus amongst the so-called experts?
A great man once said, “If you can’t
explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” Albert Einstein
I would add that it may well be that you simply don’t want your audience to
have the understanding they need or desire. Now, what does a lack of
understanding lead to? Confusion.
Confusion leads
to Conflict which leads to Pain.
Any
time you’re confused about something it will generally lead to some form of
conflict. Is there currently any
conflict with the current situation we all find ourselves in? Return to work
don’t return to work. Children to return to school don’t return to school. Wear
a mask don’t wear a mask. Wear it when you visit point A but not B. I’m sure
you get the picture.
The next step that
follows on from conflict is pain. Pain in agonising over making the right
decisions. Financial pain from the loss of earnings, loss of employment,
redundancy. Emotional pain dealing with the loss of life, the restrictions
imposed on family members and friends not being able to attend funerals to pay
their last respect. Being hospitalised and not being able to have visitors, the
feeling of isolation and not knowing whether or not you’ll pull through.
The flip side to all
the Confusion, Conflict and Pain is CLARITY.
When we have clarity of mind it promotes social connectedness, positive
emotions and meaning in all members of the community and society.
Whereas conflict creates fear which leads to pain. When we have transparency along
with clarity were able to overcome the fear that confusion brings. Clarity of
mind helps us move forward even while experiencing the challenges of life. When we have clarity, we are able to have more control over how we think, how we feel and what we do. Which allows us to lead a better and more productive life.
