Imagine
preparing to cook some rice. If you were to take 3 cups of rice would you add 3
cups of salt to it? I think not! When preparing rice, the rice always
outnumbers the salt, yet a little salt makes a huge difference in the taste of
the rice.
Likewise, if you were
stood in a room and looked up at the ceiling which only housed a single light
bulb you would observe that the bulb is insignificant when compared to the surface area of the ceiling. However, in spite of the size ratio when the bulb
is switched on in a darkened room the room is transformed with ample light.
If you are the salt of the earth, and the light of the world, then "little old you" has the ability to make big things happen. Sometimes, because you feel outnumbered or overwhelmed at the sheer magnitude of the negativity and wrong doing going on around you, you may feel powerless and decide to go with the flow rather than standing up for what you believe to be right.
Little
doesn't mean insignificant. You are significant. Your presence can make a BIG
difference. Stop waiting to be on the side of the majority. They may be the majority;
they may appear to be in control but when you decide to work from your power
and not your pain you have the ability to effect positive change.
when the bulb is switched on in a darkened room the room is transformed with ample light....
